Child Safety Standards

1. Mirtilu's Commitment

Mirtilu is a social messaging and community platform operated by Mirtilu (the "Platform"). Protecting children and adolescents from exploitation, abuse, grooming, and any form of sexual harm is one of the Platform's highest priorities. These Child Safety Standards describe the conduct that is prohibited, the prevention measures in place, the reporting channel, and the official point of contact for child-safety matters.

2. Expressly Prohibited Conduct

It is strictly forbidden, without exception, to use Mirtilu to:

• Post, send, solicit, store, share, or in any way distribute CSAM (images, videos, audio, drawings, AI-generated depictions, or any other material that sexualizes minors);
• Groom, seduce, manipulate, or otherwise attempt to build a relationship with a minor for sexual purposes, exploitation, or offline contact;
• Extort children or adolescents, including through sextortion, blackmail involving intimate images, or threats;
• Promote, glorify, normalize, minimize, or apologize for abuse, exploitation, or sexual activity involving minors;
• Share links, contacts, groups, or any channel that distributes, sells, or provides access to CSAM or pedophile communities;
• Request personal data, intimate images, or in-person meetings from minors;
• Market, advertise, or facilitate any form of child trafficking, prostitution, or sexual exploitation.

3. Minimum Age and Parental Supervision

Mirtilu is rated 12+ on Google Play and its use is permitted exclusively to individuals aged 12 years or older. Users between 12 and 17 may only use the Platform with express authorization from their legal guardian, as set out in the Terms of Use. The Platform may, at any time, request proof of age and suspend or terminate accounts that do not meet this requirement.

4. Prevention and Detection Measures

To prevent and detect CSAE/CSAM, Mirtilu applies, among others, the following measures:

• Automated moderation of messages, images, and other posted content, with detection systems for sexually explicit content, grooming language, and patterns associated with CSAE;
• Human review of reports and content flagged by automated systems, with a team trained in identifying risk to minors;
• In-app reporting channel: any user can report messages, profiles, chats, and communities they consider inappropriate;
• Immediate banning of accounts involved in CSAE/CSAM, with no refund or data recovery;
• Block and mute controls that let users manage who they interact with;
• Filters that restrict media sending from new, anonymous, or previously reported accounts;
• Evidence preservation for cooperation with authorities, as required by law.

5. How to Report

Anyone - user or non-user - may report suspected CSAE, CSAM, or any conduct that endangers children and adolescents on Mirtilu. Reports can be made through two channels:

• Inside the app: use the report button available on messages, profiles, chats, and communities;
• By email: safety@mirtilu.com - include as much information as possible (usernames, IDs, screenshots, date and time). You do not need to identify yourself.

Reports involving children are handled with the highest priority.

6. Cooperation with Authorities

Mirtilu cooperates with competent authorities and child-protection organizations in the fight against CSAE/CSAM. Content identified as CSAM may be reported to:

• NCMEC (National Center for Missing & Exploited Children) - cybertipline.org;
• INHOPE (International network of hotlines) - inhope.org;
• SaferNet Brazil - safernet.org.br/denuncie;
• Local law enforcement and other competent authorities.

The Platform complies with valid court orders and legal requests and preserves the data required for investigation, in accordance with applicable law.

9. Updates to these Standards

Mirtilu reviews and updates these Child Safety Standards whenever necessary to reflect changes in practices, tools, applicable law, or to strengthen the protection of children and adolescents on the Platform. The version in force is always the one published at this URL.
