What is Mirtilu?

Mirtilu is a live chat and community app. You join a chat about something you're into (football, anime, gaming, music, k-pop, roleplay, whatever) and you're instantly in the middle of the conversation, with text, GIFs, stickers, photos and voice notes. You can also hop into the chat's voice channel, follow communities with their own feed and keep talking in private.

Is Mirtilu free?

Yes. Downloading the app, creating an account, joining chats, chatting, using group voice and posting in communities are all free. There are optional cosmetic items and a premium plan, but none of it is required to use Mirtilu.

How do I get started?

Download the app on Google Play, create your account with email or Google in seconds, pick a chat and send your first message. No invite and no phone number needed.

Is there an iPhone (iOS) version?

For now Mirtilu is Android only (version 8.0 or newer). The iOS version is in development.

How does group voice work?

Every chat has a voice channel. You join and you're instantly talking live with whoever is in there, with no scheduling and no calling anyone. You can keep reading and writing in the text chat at the same time.

Can I talk to people from other countries?

Yes. Auto-translation handles the language on the spot, so you can talk to anyone without getting stuck. And if you want to look around, you can travel to another country inside the app and see what's going on there.

Is Mirtilu safe?

The app has automated content moderation and a report option on any message, post or profile. You can block users and leave any chat at any time. We also publish our Child Safety Standards and act on accounts that break the rules.
